About

Mónica Machín (b.1995) is a Spanish visual artist, working in graphic design, art direction, and research.


I grew up between the conceptual Art World and the Esotheric Books. To me, talking about disciplines is obsolete*. I like to see the world as dreams: they are inner myths. So every object has his own correspondence in the world of symbols; so in the world of myths; so in the world of spirit(s). From my perspective, you can find the spiritual experience in the present moment, in the material volume and lights. That is why the aesthetic experience has his odd and distant correspondence with the spiritual world. But also, that is why i truly believe making images requires a responsible behavior.

*In case you believe in disciplines, I have done: set design, art direction and production, visual research, creative direction, branding, 3D design, graphic design, editorial design, drawings, collages, oil paintings, installations, art curation, songs and poems. And I have wrote about Image Theory and Archive Theory.
